Something about having the nursery all done is making this seem so real! Officially 28 days until my due date, and time is going FAST.
The Tuesday after my baby shower Chris went over to Vancouver with my dad to watch the Montreal vs Vancouver hockey game, so my lovely mother came up island and stayed with me. We organized all the gifts that my amazing friends and family gave us, and got the nursery ready to go! It’s crazy to think that if I had this baby today, we would be ready…Or as ready as I can get, I’d say!
My friend Kristal made a beautiful quilt for the baby and it’s now sitting in his crib, along with the cutest Bunny stuffed animal given to me by a good family friend.
My mom painted my old dresser and did a distressed look, and it is now in the nursery, with a change pad on top to save space. I’m currently keeping receiving blankets in a nice basket on top, and diapers and wipes are in the top drawer. I’ve got his newborn sized onesies, pants, sleepers, and socks in other top drawer, and bigger clothes in the bottom drawers. Closet is for “real clothes” like these adorable overalls given to me, seen in the picture! I still have to get some more sleepers for the newborn size but who knows how big he will be! I wish I could see the future and know.
The rocking chair was given to my aunt by my late grandpa when my cousin was a baby – 36 years ago!!!! My mom repainted it white, and it fits so nicely in the nursery, especially with the zebra blanket and stuffies on top(I’m sure these won’t last long there!) Baby’s linens and blankets have a nice home in the closet in an organizer, and the bench in his room is for books and toys!
Take a look at some cute pictures. (By the way – I made that plane :D)
