We did it! Traveled with a baby. On Thursday Sep 28th we flew from Victoria to Las Vegas with a stop in Vancouver. For the quick 15 minute flight to the mainland, William slept the whole way. Thank goodness! He was so good on the next flight too. Being able to pass him back and forth between myself, Chris and my parents was lovely.
We carried on our diaper bag, a back pack, my camera bag, and purse. Putting William in a sleeper was the best outfit choice so we didn’t have to worry about his socks falling off, and little guy staying warm. You have the option with an infant to carry on their carseat and stroller right to the doors of the plane, and it is there waiting for you as soon as you get off. This was super convenient for traveling through the airport with a baby.
We landed in Vegas in the evening and by the time we got through the airport, rental car, grocery store, and hotel, it was 10:30pm. I got William to bed, my parents took the baby monitor and Chris and I enjoyed the hot tub. You should have seen the pools at this hotel! Check it out here. There was an awesome lazy river that we went in every day, and then another pool, and two hot tubs. William loved the lazy river. My mom bought him a little floatie that he could sit in and it worked super well.
On Friday night my cousins took Chris and I out on to the strip. It was insane! It was such a cool experience, and I wish I had brought my camera out.
On Sunday night we were planning on going out again, but last minute we decided to stay in..and I am so grateful we did because this was the night of the Las Vegas Shooting. Thank GOD for that luck..
For the rest of the trip in Nevada we enjoyed hanging by the pool, outlet mall shopping, and a day trip to the Valley of Fire. Chris had William in our Tula carrier because for that long of time it is quite painful for my back, but he loved being next to Daddy. Here’s some pics!
annnnd of course we did a trip to Arizona and visited the Grand Canyon!
Here’s some more pictures from the trip.
